Editorial Workshop on 'How to Publish with Taylor & Francis' on 22.02.2017

To make IISER community more aware about the process of publishing scientific articles and books, Central Library is organising an 'Editorial Workshop on How to Publish with Taylor & Francis' on 22.02.2017 between 11 AM-12 noon at the Seminar Hall (Computer Sc. Building, CET). 

Session will be handled by  Dr. Gagandeep Singh, Editorial Manager, CRC Press, New Delhi.
Participation is restricted to 50 on first cum first basis. You are invited to this programme and kindly send a mail to library mail ID to reserve your seat.

About the Workshop

Submitting a paper to a journal, understanding peer review, and getting your paper/book accepted can seem a mysterious process.

This workshop helps to understand the publishing process, various steps involved, and offers tips and advice in the publishing process. Some of the topics covered in the workshop include:
·         How to prepare the perfect paper (and what to avoid)
·         How to structure your manuscript
·         How to choose the best journal for your paper
·         How to publish book
·         What peer review is, and how to handle peer-review comments
·         Copyright issues
·         How to promote your research and understand its impact etc.
This workshop will be beneficial for all faculty members and researchers interested and involved in getting their research published in international renowned publications.
About the Speaker

Dr. Gagandeep Singh is currently working as Senior Editor (Acquisitions) for Engineering/Environmental sciences at the CRC Press. He is also editorial manager for the CRC press team in India and takes care of engineering acquisitions programme in Australia as well.

He has done his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Forensic Chemistry and has more than 25 research papers and a patent to his credit. He is the recipient of "National Award to Commercializable Patents" 2013-14 by TIFAC, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India.

 In the last five years, he has signed more than 250 books from authors based out of India and abroad and more than 100 titles have been released. His author list includes faculty from major IIT’s, NIT’s and other engineering institutions including IGCAR, Kalpakkam; BARC, Mumbai and various other CSIR/DRDO labs.
